If I have learned anything after a decade of solo traveling, it is you won’t regret the times you splurged on yourself. You will remember when you tried to pinch pennies and had a sub-par experience.

I am starting with my personal favorite Athens hotels with a pool! This highly well-curated hotel is a real gem! The hotel Coco-Mat Athens BC should not be confused with the other Coco-Mat hotels in Athens. Be sure you are booking the one I link here.
Coco-Mat is a Greek Brand known for its chic furniture design and award-winning mattresses. You can purchase the bedding and the mattress if you feel inclined. I had a memorable stay and can vouch for the quality and comfort of the bed.
The hotel is in a prime location for visiting Athens for the first time. You are just minutes away by foot from the Acropolis and all the sites Athens has to offer! The rooftop infinity pool has a world-class view and comfortable beanbags and sunbeds.
A true lounge pool bar in Athens, this hotel is my favorite! Sip on a cocktail from that fabulous pool bar while admiring the views over central Athens.
2. Neoma

Neoma is a distinctive luxury hotel with unique style interiors. The hotel’s name, Neoma, is of Greek origin, meaning “new moon; pleasantness.” If you want to treat yourself, check out the Panorama Suite! All rooms have sophisticated vibes, perfect for anyone looking for a high-end experience. Located just 9 minute’s walk in the safe Athens neighborhood of Koukaki, ideal for any solo female traveling.
Quite possibly the most aesthetically pleasing hotel on this list. The rooftop swimming pool offers views of the Acropolis from a comfortable sunbed. The hotel pool is small but perfect for a quick dip on a scorching summer day in Greece.

The hotel rooftop is most impressive, with an infinity pool overlooking the Acropolis! You certainly can’t go wrong staying at the Divani Carvel Hotel. In the winter months, the seasonal outdoor swimming pool becomes an indoor pool with a retractable roof.

The rooms at the Hotel Grande Bretagne are as grand and royal as you might expect from a five-star venue. You can expect air conditioning, flat screen tv, and very comfortable bedding!
The rooftop pool is one of two pools this hotel has to offer. So if you visit Athens in winter, you can enjoy the indoor pool! Having all year swimming makes this one of the best hotels in Athens city centre!
The outdoor pool is closed from November till April. If you don’t feel like a swim, you can enjoy a panoramic view of central Athens from the beautiful rooftop terrace restaurant all year. Or perhaps indulge yourself with a spa treatment at the in-house spa center!
In addition to the incredible pools, this hotel has a high-end spa, 2 bars, and lounges, and so much more! The staff will go out of their way to ensure their guests have a top-notch experience. A Marriot hotel, you can collect points if you stay here.

Infinity pool alert! No surprise, Athens Capital Center Hotel is featured in this list of Best Athens hotels with rooftop pools. This five-star hotel located in the center of Athens in Syntagma Square has a lot to offer any art lover. Complete with a contemporary lobby bar and restaurant, it is the finest in the Greek capital!
Athens Captial Center Hotel is also part of a unique SHe Travel Club initiative. 50 hotels in Europe and the Middle East all formed a group to support accommodating women’s needs.
8. King George, a Luxury Collection Hotel, Athens

Another Marriot property is located next to Hotel Grande Bretagne. And this one checks all the boxes. A grand hotel with a marble lobby and rooms ranging from standard to penthouse suites!
This hotel should and shouldn’t be on the list. Does it have an Infinity pool? Yes, King George has it! A spectacular view of the Acropolis? King George has it! BUT… Only with a private suite. That means there is no public rooftop swimming pool but a private pool. If you stay here, you can use the outdoor pool & indoor pool on the neighboring property, The Hotel Grande Bretagne.
The hotel does have a fantastic rooftop restaurant and bar! The metro station is also just across the street if you want transportation options. You will have access to two restaurants if you feel like staying poolside for the day.
9. Fresh Hotel
26 Sophokleous Street, Athens 10552
Fresh Hotel is a little bit further away from the Acropolis but still within 20-minute walking distance. This four-star hotel has a lovely rooftop swimming pool with views and a bar offering panoramic views.
With a sleek design and lots of comforts, Fresh Hotel is part of Marriott if you are someone who is rewarded by collecting points.
Located near Monastiraki metro station and the Exarcheia neighborhood. Hotel guests have left this hotel mixed reviews on location. Athens isn’t the most beautiful city, so don’t let the graffiti and unkept look make you think it is unsafe. As a solo female traveling, I have had no issues walking alone in Athens.
Just a short walk to the National Archaeological Museum in 15 minutes.
Fresh Hotel isn’t as luxurious as some of the hotels on this list, but it’s one of the best hotels because it’s more affordable. It will be a good choice if you are open to a little less luxe.
10. St. George Lycabettus Hotel
St. George Lycabettus Hotel has an incredible rooftop swimming pool with sweeping views of Athens. Located a little further away from the center, in the posh Kolonaki neighborhood. Hotels with pools are harder to come by in Kolonaki.
All rooms come with air conditioning, free wifi, and some with stunning views of Athens!
This hotel is located at the base of Lycabettus Hill, and if you don’t plan to rent a car, you need to be prepared for the workout. Having stayed in this neighborhood for 10 days, I know what I am talking about.
Unless you have physical limitations, you can handle them. For the views and the quiet neighborhood, I would consider staying here.
