Choosing where to stay in Milos matters more than people expect. The island may look small on a map, but each area feels very different, and staying in the wrong spot can easily turn a relaxed trip into a logistics headache.
I made a major mistake the first time I stayed in Milos. I booked a beautiful boutique hotel, but didn’t rent a car.
I learned quickly that Milos isn’t a “one area fits all” island. Some villages are great if you want walkability and restaurants nearby, others make more sense if you plan to rent a car, and a few are better suited for travelers who want total quiet.
In this guide, I’m breaking down the best boutique hotels in Milos by area and village, so you can choose a stay that actually matches how you want to experience the island, not just what looks pretty on Instagram.

When to Book Boutique Hotels in Milos?
Many people don’t realize that you can’t book hotels in Milos a full year in advance. Most hotels don’t release their pricing until later in the year, usually toward the end of the current season.
So if you’re searching in September 2024, you likely won’t see availability for summer 2025 yet. That doesn’t mean hotels are sold out. It usually means pricing for the following year hasn’t been set.
I know this can be frustrating. I’m hosting a small group trip to Milos next year, and I also have to wait until pricing is released before I can secure accommodations.
My biggest tip is to find the hotel you like below and contact them directly to ask when they plan to release next year’s rates. That way, you can be ready to book as soon as reservations open.

Hotels I Love in Pollonia
Pollonia is one of the easiest places to stay in Milos if you want a mix of walkability and atmosphere. It has some of the island’s best restaurants, a local winery where you can do tastings, a small beach, and lots of cute boutique shops you can easily walk between. It feels lively without being overwhelming, especially in the evenings.
The main thing to know is transportation. You can get to Pollonia by public bus, but once you are there, you are working around the bus schedule.
**If you want more flexibility to explore beaches and quieter parts of the island, renting a car makes getting around much easier.
White Pebble Suites

White Pebble Suites is a beachfront boutique stay in Milos with modern, stylish suites and the kind of views you came to the Cyclades for.
Many rooms have kitchenettes, and the property has a beautiful outdoor space with an on-site pool. It’s also in a convenient spot near restaurants and shops, so you can stay in a boutique hotel without feeling isolated.

Hotels I Love in Sarakiniko
Sarakiniko is best known for its dramatic white rock formations and otherworldly landscape. Staying near Sarakiniko puts you close to one of the most photographed spots in Milos and makes it easy to visit early in the morning or later in the evening, when it’s quieter. The area feels more about the scenery than village life.
The tradeoff is convenience. Sarakiniko doesn’t have a true town center, so dining and shopping options are limited nearby. A car is strongly recommended if you stay here, especially if you want flexibility to explore beaches and villages across the island.
Cave Suites Milos

Cave Suites Milos is the perfect choice for those looking to experience the unique beauty of this Greek island. Located in a quiet and tranquil spot, Cave Suites Milos offers stunning views of both the Aegean Sea and nearby mountains from its modern and luxurious suites.
Most deluxe rooms feature a private plunge pool with sea views. Cave Suites Milos is a short distance from the famous Sarakiniko beach.
If you stay at Cave Suites Milos it is advisable to rent a car. There is no public transport and taxis can get rather expensive. This is one of the best luxury hotels that offer a once-in-a-lifetime experience!

Hotels I Love in Paleochori
Paleochori is a great area to stay if being right on the beach is your priority. It’s known for its colorful cliffs, warm water, and laid-back beach clubs, along with some of the island’s most popular seaside restaurants. Days here are easy and relaxed, with most things centered around the beach.
The downside is location. Paleochori is more spread out and not very walkable beyond the beach area. A car is highly recommended if you want to explore other parts of Milos or have flexibility beyond beach days.
Artemis Seaside Resort

Artemis Seaside Resort is the perfect boutique hotel for those looking for a luxurious stay in Milos. This beachfront hotel is located in Paliochori, a more secluded and private part of the island of Milos.
Staying at Artemis Seaside Resort is a once-in-a-lifetime experience. The hotel features a seasonal swimming pool, Aqua Loca Beach Bar & a world-class Root Restaurant, room service, and free wifi.
Some of these incredible deluxe rooms feature a private pool or a hot tub. If rooms with a private pool are booked out, I highly recommend checking out the sea-view suites.
All luxury suites offer air-conditioned rooms and private bathrooms, and private balconies. Get a preview of this hotel here on YouTube.
You will enjoy free private parking at Artemis Seaside Resort! Since this hotel is off the beaten path, I highly recommend you rent a car in Milos if staying at this luxury hotel.

Hotels I Love at Adamantas Port
Adamantas is the main port town in Milos and one of the most convenient places to stay. It has the widest range of restaurants, cafés, shops, and services, and it’s where ferries arrive and depart. It’s a practical base if you’re island hopping or want easy access to buses, taxis, and boat tours.
The tradeoff is atmosphere. Adamantas is busier and feels more functional than charming, especially during ferry arrival times. If you want a quieter, more scenic village feel, other areas on the island may be a better fit.
Santa Maria Luxury Suites
Santa Maria Luxury Suites in Milos is of the top hotels in Milos. This hotel is very convenient if you are looking to stay fairly close to the Milos port. It has a massive overflow swimming pool that is perfect on a scorching hot day in Milos!
This modern and elegant waterfront accommodation is located 2300 feet from Papikinou Beach. Some of these spacious suites have balconies with a sea view! Enjoy all the modern conveniences such as air conditioning, flat-screen tv, coffee machine, private bathroom, free wifi, and fridge.
It is perfect for a one-night stay if you are island hopping the Western Cyclades islands!

Hotels I Love in Secluded Areas
These hotels are best if you’re craving quiet and space. They’re located away from Milos’ main villages and are ideal if your priority is slowing down, unplugging, and spending time at the hotel or nearby beaches. These stays tend to feel more private and relaxed, especially during the high season.
The tradeoff is convenience. A car is usually necessary, and dining or shopping options won’t be within walking distance. These hotels work best for travelers who are happy trading walkability for peace and flexibility.
Milos Cove

Milos Cove is one of the most luxurious hotels you can book in Milos. This 5-star resort is located off the beaten path in Thiorikhia Milou.
