Day 1: Hop-on-Hop Off Tour
Arrival in Barcelona at 9:00 AM at Barcelona-El Prat Airport.
Transit to Hotel
- You can take the Aerobus express shuttle service, which departs every 5-10 minutes and takes about 35 minutes to reach the city center. Cost €8.50
- Private Transfer Approx. $95
- Barcelona Airport Train €4.60 – Get the RENFE Train app.
Hotel Options
11:00 AM – 12:00 PM: Check into your hotel and freshen up.
12:00 PM – Grab food at either:
1:30 PM – 5:30 PM: Begin your hop-on hop-off bus tour. This is a great way to get an overview of the city and get history about Plaça de Catalunya, the Gothic Quarter, and Passeig de Gràcia.
7:00 PM: Dinner at a local restaurant, go with any listed close to the hotel.
Evening: If you have the energy, explore the city and your neighborhood.
Day 2: Sagrada Familia and AIRE Spa
Morning: Visit the Sagrada Familia. It is about a 45-minute walk from your hotel neighborhood. A taxi is 20 minutes, or you can take 2 trains. Pre-book your tickets IN ADVANCE. It will book out, and do the tower. This is a MUST! I’ve been twice.
Afternoon: Lunch at a nearby café
2:00 PM – 5:00 PM: Relax at the AIRE Ancient Baths Barcelona. Enjoy their various thermal baths and spa services. Booking in advance is recommended.
Evening: Flamenco Show I recommend this one since you can add dinner. This place is also in your hotel area.
Day 3: Park Güell and Food Market
Morning: Visit Park Güell, another of Gaudí’s masterpieces. Pre-booking your entry time is advisable. From your hotel neighborhood is an hour’s walk. Or you could take the L3 Metro train for 30 minutes
Afternoon: Lunch at La Boqueria Market. Spend time exploring the stalls and trying various local foods. From the park, take the L3 Metro train back for 27 minutes. Shop around and make your way back to hotel area.
Evening: Free night to go explore other areas that were interesting from the bus tour. Dinner at a restaurant in the market area or another part of the city.

Day 4: Day Trip to Girona & Beach
Morning: If the weather is good, head to the San Sebastian Beach!
Spend as much time as you want at the beach. Later in the afternoon get tickets for the train to Girona (about 40 minutes journey). Catch the train at: Barcelona Sants
Day: Explore Girona’s medieval streets and the famous Girona Cathedral.
Evening: Return to Barcelona. Dinner in Barcelona.
Day 5: Travel to Valencia
Morning: Take a train to Valencia (about 3 hours journey) and find the one that is the fastest. It’s too far out for me to suggest exactly. Get Tickets

Afternoon: Check into your hotel and have lunch.

2:00 PM – 6:00 PM: Explore the City of Arts and Sciences, a futuristic complex with a planetarium, an oceanarium, and an interactive museum.
Evening: Dinner at a local Valencian restaurant:
Day 6: Exploring Valencia
Morning: Visit Valencia’s Old Town, including the Valencia Cathedral and the Central Market on your own, or do a bike tour!
Afternoon: Relax on the beach or stroll through Turia Gardens.
Evening: Join this 4-hour food and wine tour!
Day 7: Departure
Morning: Depending on your flight time, enjoy a leisurely breakfast or visit any last-minute sights.
Travel to Valencia Airport for your flight hotel. You can either take the subway to the airport or a taxi for about $30. There is also a bus line 150.
