Day One

Arrival in Verona

Arrive in Verona and get in your private transfer to our centrally located hotel. Get refreshed and ready to meet our group for a welcome cocktail and dinner!

Day Two

Historical Verona

We start the day today around 9:00 AM, and it is all about the history in Verona. We will have a private guided tour all around the city center of Verona.

After our tour, you will have time to shop, hit a museum, or go back to the hotel to relax.

Day Three

Day Trip to Lake Garda

Today will be a full-day excursion to beautiful Lake Garda, where you’ll explore the charming lakeside towns of Sirmione and Lazise.

We begin with a guided walk through Sirmione’s historic old town, then have free time to wander at our own pace or upgrade your visit with an optional tour of the ancient Grotte di Catullo.

Later, we take a scenic boat ride across the lake to Lazise, which is included, where you’ll have more free time to stroll the picturesque streets, browse local shops, or relax at a café by the water.

Day Four

Valpolicella Wine Tasting & Lunch

Enjoy a private half-day wine experience in the beautiful Valpolicella region, visiting two family-owned wineries known for producing the area’s world-famous Amarone and Ripasso wines.

You’ll learn about the winemaking process, explore vineyards and historic cellars, and enjoy guided tastings paired with local specialties.

With beautiful countryside views and plenty of time to relax, it’s the perfect afternoon experiencing one of Italy’s most celebrated wine regions together.

Day five

Italian Cooking Class

Spend a leisurely morning exploring Verona at your own pace. Wander the charming streets, browse the boutiques, unwind at the spa, or simply relax with a coffee in one of the city’s beautiful piazzas.

This evening, we’ll come together for a private hands-on cooking class. Sip a glass of Prosecco as a local chef guides you through making fresh pasta and classic Italian tiramisu from scratch.

Then, sit down with the group to enjoy the delicious meal you’ve created, paired with a glass of Italian wine.

Day six

Day Trip to Vicenza

Today we will head to Vicenza and spend the day exploring the elegant city at our own pace.

Known for its beautiful architecture, charming piazzas, and relaxed atmosphere, Vicenza is the perfect place to wander without a schedule.

We will browse local boutiques, visit historic landmarks, enjoy a leisurely lunch, or simply soak up the atmosphere with a coffee in one of the city’s picturesque squares before returning to Verona.

Day seven

Food Tour Day Trip to Bologna

This morning, we’ll hop on Italy’s high-speed train and be in Bologna in under an hour. Known as Italy’s food capital, this city is a dream for anyone who loves eating their way through a destination.

Come hungry because we’ll spend the day on a guided food tour, stopping at local favorites to taste fresh handmade pasta, regional cheeses, cured meats, traditional Bolognese specialties, Italian wine, and plenty more.

Between bites, we’ll wander Bologna’s beautiful streets, browse the local shops, and soak up the atmosphere before heading back to Verona in the evening.

Day eight

Transfer to Venice & Cicchetti Tour

After breakfast, we’ll say goodbye to Verona and board Italy’s high-speed train to Venice. In just over an hour, we’ll arrive in one of the world’s most beautiful cities, where we’ll settle into our boutique hotel for the next part of our adventure.

This evening, we’ll experience Venice like the locals on a traditional bàcaro tour. Instead of dining in one restaurant, we’ll wander through the city’s hidden bacari, stopping along the way for cicchetti, Venice’s famous bite-sized snacks, paired with local wine or a classic Spritz.

It’s one of the best ways to discover the authentic side of Venice while sharing great food, drinks, and conversation with the group.

Day nine

Venice Highlights & Gondola Ride

Spend the morning discovering the highlights of Venice with a local guide as we wander through charming canals, hidden alleyways, and some of the city’s most iconic sights.

Later, we’ll step aboard our private gondolas and glide through the quieter canals, taking in Venice from the water just as it was meant to be experienced.

This evening, we’ll come together one last time for a memorable farewell dinner, celebrating an incredible journey through Northern Italy with wonderful food, great conversation, and new friendships.

TRAVEL INSURANCE DISCLOSURE

A TRAVEL INSURANCE POLICY THAT COVERS MEDICAL EXPENSES, AND OTHER TRAVEL-RELATED ISSUES IS REQUIRED FOR ALL TOURS. POLICIES OFFERED BY TRAVEL CREDIT CARDS DO NOT MEET THIS REQUIREMENT FOR COVERAGE.

Travel medical insurance is mandatory for all participants. To join us, your insurance policy must include at least $100,000 USD coverage for medical emergency evacuation and repatriation.

Credit Card insurance will not be accepted as valid travel insurance for our tours. Therefore, we strongly advise securing a travel insurance policy BEFORE you make any payments towards the trip.

While many of our guests prefer Faye, it’s important to find a policy that aligns with your specific needs. Other reputable providers include Allianz Travel Insurance, Nationwide Travel Insurance, and John Hancock Travel, among others.

Keep in mind, all payments made towards the tour are non-refundable. Travel insurance typically covers cancellations only for covered reasons, which may include unexpected illness (yours or a family member’s), severe weather conditions, or job loss.

For those interested in “cancel for any reason” coverage—which is pricier but can reimburse you for 50-75% of the trip’s total cost—consider options like John Hancock’s “Gold” Travel Insurance or Nationwide’s “Prime” Travel Insurance, Faye Insurance. Note that these policies often need to be purchased within 14 days following your initial trip deposit.

IMPORTANT: When arranging your travel insurance, please account for any extra days you might be traveling outside our official tour dates, such as arriving a day early or staying an additional night at our suggestion. For instance, if you plan to fly out on October 2nd to ensure your timely arrival for the tour’s start, make sure your insurance coverage begins from October 2nd.

Each trip can vary, but typically we see participants between their mid 30’s to mid 60’s. Anyone over 18 years old is welcome to join.

We typically recommend you arrive 1 day early depending on where you are traveling from. In this case, you will need to arrange for your own accommodations for that early arrival date.

YES! Each day there is almost always time for you to explore on your own! We prioritize balancing time for yourself along with an organized activity!

All shared rooms will have twin mattresses.

Food in Italy is pretty reasonably priced. You can find the average price of an entree around 12 to 15 euros.

Generally, I have experienced:

Fine dining: €40+ per person for a meal at upscale restaurants.

Budget meals: €10-€15 per person at casual or street food places.

Mid-range restaurants: €20-€30 per person for a meal with a drink.

Our itineraries are pretty relaxed, but we will rack up a lot of steps on our walking tours. If you’ve got any concerns about mobility, just shoot me a message—I’m happy to chat about it!

Arrival: Fly into Verona Villafranca Airport (VRN). The airport transfer is included. If you arrive early and are staying in the vicinity or at the hotel from the trip your transfer will still be included.

You are welcome to fly into Venice Marco Polo Airport (VCE) however an additional charge will be due to arrange for an airport transfer.

Departure: You will fly out of Venice Marco Polo Airport (VCE). The airport drop off is included. If you are not leaving on the last day of the trip your transfer can only be included if you are leaving from the same vincinity of the hotel from the trip.

Travel insurance is required. Your travel insurance plan must cover personal injury, medical expenses, repatriation expenses, and evacuation expenses.

We highly recommend purchasing travel insurance that includes coverage for trip cancellation, trip interruption, personal property, and COVID-19-related quarantine costs. While we’re here to support you during your trip, A Solo Woman Traveling LLC does not cover these expenses.

Please note: we do not accept credit card travel insurance, as it often lacks the comprehensive coverage our trips require.

It’s your responsibility to fully understand your travel insurance policy. Make sure it covers all activities listed in your itinerary (both included and optional) and that there are no exclusions that could affect your coverage. By agreeing to our Booking Terms & Conditions at checkout, you’ve confirmed that you alone are responsible for verifying your policy’s details and ensuring it meets our requirements.

When to Buy

Ideally, purchase your travel insurance as soon as you book your trip. Some policies only cover trips booked within a specific time frame after payment. At the very latest, we require proof of coverage no later than 75 days before your trip departs.

Most nationalities—including travelers from the USA, Canada, the UK, and Australia—don’t need a visa for trips under 90 days in the Schengen Area.

To be safe, double-check your country’s official travel site or contact the nearest embassy for the most up-to-date entry requirements.

All tour payments are non-refundable and non-transferable. We require travel insurance to ensure you are protected in the event of a medical or family emergency. If you need to cancel for a covered reason, you can file a claim with your travel insurance.
