Our Itinerary
What We’re Doing
Day One
Arrival in Catania
Arrive in Catania and get in your private transfer to our centrally located hotel. Get refreshed and ready to meet our group for a welcome cocktail and dinner!
Day Two
Food Tour + Sunset Boat Ride
We start the day today around 9:30 AM, heading straight to the city center for our food tour. This will be the ideal way to learn about the history of Catania and try the local cuisine.
After the food tour, there will be time to relax and shop before we gather for our relaxing sunset boat ride along the Cyclops Coast.
Day Three
Sicilian Cooking Class
Today we’ll step inside the home of a local chef for an intimate Sicilian cooking experience.
We’ll begin with a traditional Italian aperitivo before learning how to roll fresh pasta completely by hand and master one of Italy’s most beloved desserts, tiramisu!
Following our class, you will have free time to explore Catania and visit any shops you might have been eyeing.
Day Four
Day Trip to Taormina
Today we head out on a day trip from Catania to Taormina, stopping at beautiful Isola Bella along the way.
Once in Taormina, a local guide will lead us through the historic center, including the Ancient Greek Theatre and Villa Comunale Gardens.
Afterward, we’ll have four hours of free time for lunch, shopping, or simply wandering at our own pace. We’ll finish with a traditional granita and brioche before heading back to Catania.
Day five
Etna Winery & Medieval Towns
Today we’ll journey around Mount Etna aboard the historic Circumetnea Railway, traveling through lava fields, vineyards, and charming villages.
We’ll visit a family-run winery for a vineyard tour, guided wine tasting, and leisurely Sicilian lunch featuring regional specialties.
In the afternoon, we’ll explore the medieval town of Randazzo before visiting the fascinating House of Medieval Music.
Day six
Transfer to Siracusa & Walking Tour
Today we leave Catania and head to our new hotel in Siracusa, where we’ll spend the next few days.
After settling in, we’ll explore the heart of Ortigia on a 1.5-hour guided walking tour through its charming streets.
Along the way, we’ll discover the city’s Greek, Roman, and Baroque history, including a visit to the magnificent Cathedral of Syracuse.
Day seven
Private Boat Tour Siracusa
Today we’ll spend the afternoon cruising along the beautiful coastline of Ortigia and Syracuse, passing sea caves, the Pillirina Gulf, and the Plemmirio Nature Reserve.
Along the way, we’ll stop for a swim and enjoy plenty of time relaxing on the water.
A leisurely Sicilian lunch with wine will be served on board before we make our way back to the marina.
day eight
Day Trip to Noto & Marzamemi
Today we’ll head to southeastern Sicily to explore Noto and Marzamemi, two of my favorite towns on the island.
We’ll start in beautiful Noto, with about an hour of free time, before spending 2.5 hours relaxing at the beach with time to swim, have lunch, or soak up the sun.
Later, we’ll continue to the charming fishing village of Marzamemi for time to wander its picturesque streets, browse the shops, and enjoy the atmosphere.
Day Nine
Free Day + Farewell Dinner
Our final day in Syracuse is yours to enjoy at your own pace, whether you want to shop, explore more of Ortigia, or simply relax by the sea.
In the evening, we’ll come together for our final group dinner at a beautiful waterfront setting. We’ll share delicious bites and raise a glass to an incredible time together in Sicily.
Day Ten
Departure Day
Today is the day we all head our separate ways. Breakfast will be available at the hotel.
