Best Content Creator Contract Templates
If you search the web for an influencer agreement template or the best independent contractor agreement for a new business you will get just a bunch of sites that offer these contracts.
But are these contracts any good? Will they help me abide by the applicable laws in my area?
Do I really even need these content creator contracts?
I hope to help answer all your questions about contracts in the simplest most direct way. Because I will be honest, this stuff is pretty boring!
Who needs a content creator agreements template?
Are you someone making money or trading services online? YES? Ok, you need a content creator contract to protect yourself.
Many people ask, “do I really need to buy my own contract?” Can’t I just use something another blogger is using on their site?
No. Legally you can not. If you were found to have illegally just copied someone else’s contract off the internet you could get in a lot of trouble.
Also, just because it is out there on their site you have no idea how legal it actually is. If you want to really protect yourself, purchase your own legal contract.
Do I need a custom contract or a template contract?
What is the difference between a custom contract and a template contract? A custom contract is written especially for you by a lawyer and a template is written for the use of many with common clauses of your field or industry.
The beauty of going with an industry-specific template contract is the lower investment you get for a formal contract. Contract templates crafted with your industry mind are the best ways to start protecting your business.
A custom contract would need to be drafted by a lawyer which can have a pretty hefty price tag. Especially for newbies.
It will be time to employ a law firm for a more specialized contract when you have grown to the point of a lot of visibility. Until that time, consider using a simple contract specific to your industry.
Look at all the contract templates below and find your industry or niche!

What is a Blogger Contract Template?
You may be wondering what you need if you simply have a blog. I am a blogger, and the contract template I needed for my blog is referred to as the Terms & Conditions and Privacy Policy.
If you have a blog or a business website you are legally required to have this policy visible as a link on your site.
Operating without this policy could land you in some hot water! Protect your business and brand with the best content creator template by The Contract Shop®.

Does every small business need a content agreement or contract?
Are you a business or individual producing work in exchange for money? If you are answering YES, you want a legally binding document to lay out the terms of service.
Don’t agree to anything verbally, everything needs to be in writing! I know that might seem, like ya, duh, who doesn’t know this, but it needs to be said.
You could find yourself in a great conversation with someone about brand collaboration and think you are on the same page to find out you are not. Sadly, some things aren’t just common sense, they need to be explicitly written out!
If it isn’t in writing it can be hard to prove, this is why a legal document is essential!
The Brand Collaboration & USG Creator Contract Template sets clear expectations for your time and what you are expected to deliver in return.

Do I need contracts if I am a NEW Coach, Blogger, or Influencer?
If you are not exchanging any money and are in the beginning phases of building your brand and your website you don’t need a contract.
It is a good idea to understand what you will need once you build that first business relationship with a brand or become a service provider. When you begin a working relationship, it is time for that contract.
Some of my biggest mistakes, in the beginning, were not doing the proper research and panic buying products that I assumed I needed.

After you make your blog live and publish that first blog post, be sure to have your Terms and Conditions & Privacy policy in place.
Social Media Management Contract Templates
A content creation agreement for Social Media Managers, Social Media Strategists, and Virtual Assistants has its own contract template.
This type of contract template has essential elements for influencer partnerships between influencers and agencies.
If you are working with influencers you will need to outline the services you provide for their social media account and social media platforms.
Also included, is a payment plan outline that easily allows you to set dates of expected payment. As well as, a late fee clause.
Have an enforceable contract if a client misses a payment! Without legal protection, what can you do if your client just stops paying you?
Worried about confidential information? This template also has a confidentiality clause to protect the trade secrets of your business.
Who owns intellectual property rights?
If you are doing all the work for influencer posts are you giving full credit to the client or do you maintain any ownership? Ownership rights need to be in a legally binding agreement.
Do you want credit for your work or are you selling the sole rights to this content? Without a contract in place, you are going to have a hard time claiming what you believe is yours.
The Social Media Management Contract Template has the information you need to state your intentions clearly.
It also has a valuable section on cancellation clauses. This protection is for your business if for unforeseen circumstances you are not able to fulfill the duties original contract.

Feeling Misaligned With Your Offerings?
Are you feeling a little stuck crafting your offerings? I’ve been there! You start your business with the intentions and visions of one thing, then realize it’s not resonating with your audience.
Feelings of frustration and failure quickly take over and you want to scrap it altogether!
DON’T DO THAT!
Sometimes you just need to make little tweaks to what you are offering for them to hit. I help women get the clarity they need to rework their offerings to sell!
Wanna talk about it?
Virtual Assistant VA Contract Template
I have talked to a lot of VAs that just do work without protecting themselves or their livelihood. Working without a contract is risky, what if they don’t pay you? Don’t just assume since they are the ones that hired you that they will pay you no matter what.
Without a signed contract it will be hard to pursue your wages.
Be taken seriously with a contract that clearly states YOUR fees and what happens when a client doesn’t pay with this written legal agreement.
Imagine working on a social media marketing campaign and it doesn’t go as planned for the influencer and they don’t pay you. This happens all the time!
The more informed you are and the more you inform who you are working for your worth and expectations the more successful you are in business.
The Virtual Assistant Contract Template from The Contract Shop® is a solid contract!

For example, you could use this for:
- Social media influencer contract
- Influencer marketing agreement
- Funnel builders
